13 Years of Community: Sedona Lunar New Year Festival Returns

Welcoming the Year of the Red Fire Horse (2026)

The Year of the Red Fire Horse symbolizes energy, courage, movement, and new momentum. In Asian traditions, the Horse represents freedom and forward motion, while the fire element brings vitality and transformation. Together, they remind us that the Lunar New Year is a time not only to welcome a new calendar cycle, but to move forward with intention, confidence, and renewed spirit.

In this meaningful spirit, the Korean American Association of Northern Arizona (KAANA) warmly invites the Sedona community to celebrate the 13th Annual Sedona Lunar New Year Festival—a joyful gathering honoring Asian culture, tradition, and community connection.

For the past 13 years, this festival has been a beloved annual tradition in Sedona, bringing together people of all backgrounds to celebrate cultural heritage, share joy, and begin the new year together.

🌙 Why the Lunar New Year Matters

The Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations across many Asian cultures, including Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese traditions. It marks a time to reflect on the past year, honor family and ancestors, and welcome renewal. More than a holiday, it is a cultural moment to reconnect, reset intentions, and begin the new year with harmony and hope.
