Congratulatory Message from the Consulate General of The Republic of Korean Los Angeles

ImageDear Friends,

I am so pleased to extend my warmest greetings to all the participants of the 2013

Lunar New Year Festival.

Thanks to this magnificent event, the dynamic Korean community of Sedona may share its heritage with their neighbors. The last two years, the goal of this festival was to raise money for the Korean War Veterans’ Monument. And this year, I am very happy to hear that the monument will be unveiled in March at the Sedona Veteran Military Park. Your generous support and donations have made this possible! Congratulations!

The memory of the War between 1950 and 1953 is still vivid to many Koreans. We will never forget the blood and sweat that was shed to protect us. Your courage and dedication will forever serve as a reminder to people across the globe
of the true value of democracy. We will always be indebted to the Veterans of the
Korean War, and we want everyone to remember their sacrifices.

Taking this opportunity, I’d also like to express my gratitude to the Sedona Korean-American Association for hosting this wonderful annual festival, and helping to spread Korean cultural awareness. Your tremendous efforts to raise money for the Korean War Veterans’ Monument are deeply appreciated.

May you all have excellent health, wealth and wisdom in this Year of the Snake. Happy Lunar New Year!

Yeon-Sung Shin
Consul General
